Is there a normal interface, or is it all chat?

Why do I need to install an agent?

rekordbox stores its library in a local database on your machine, and your audio files live on your drives. No website can reach either. The agent is the small, permissioned bridge that lets the dashboard read and repair your library without uploading it.

Which versions of rekordbox are supported?

We're building against rekordbox 6 and 7, in both performance and export modes. The library format is identical on Mac and Windows, so the features are the same on either.

Do you support Mac and Windows?

Both, but not on the same day. The agent is a native app, so macOS 12 or newer ships at the October 2026 launch — a universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel — and Windows 10 and 11 follow shortly after. The chat itself runs in any browser on any machine. Register on the compatibility page if you're on Windows and we'll email you the moment that build is signed.

Does rekordbox need to be closed?

You can browse and audit while rekordbox is open. Changes are applied with rekordbox closed, because that's the only way to write to its database safely — the dashboard will prompt you at the right moment.

Is this safe for my database?

Accepted Answer

Every write is preceded by an automatic snapshot of your library database, and every operation starts as a dry run you approve. If a result isn't what you expected, you roll it back in one click.

Does my music get uploaded?

Accepted Answer

No. Only metadata — track titles, keys, cue positions, file paths — syncs to your account so the dashboard can show your library. Audio stays on your machine. The one exception is a sting you generate, which is downloaded to you.

Is DJtools.ai affiliated with Pioneer, Mixed In Key or Beatport?

No. We're an independent tool that works alongside them, using their supported file and library formats.

When does it launch?

DJtools.ai launches in October 2026, starting with Sting Studio and Library Doctor — custom stings plus full library audit and management. Key Bridge and Beatport Auto-Import follow after launch. The private beta opens in stages before then, earliest signups first, and we'll email you an invite before you install anything.

What can I actually do at launch?

Two things, done properly: generate custom stings, IDs and drops that land analysed in your Stings playlist, and audit and manage your rekordbox library — missing files, duplicates, broken beatgrids, tags and playlists, all repaired with your approval.

Will it be paid?

Auditing your library stays free. Applying fixes is $12/month or $99/year at launch, with a Studio tier at $29/month. Beta is free, early-access members keep a founding price, and at the October 2026 launch only we're offering a one-off Founding Lifetime seat at $399 — after that it's monthly or yearly.
